I believe in a smarter, more limited government. We should not increase the tax base by raising taxes but rather by supporting policies that unleash economic potential. The current high-tax approach can only harm the economy.

During eight years in the Virginia House of Delegates, I never voted for a single tax increase. I will continue working to keep taxes low.

The General Assembly has begun hiding taxes and fees in the biennial budget. This is dishonest and must not continue. Fees and taxes should be addressed in an honest, transparent manner. Taxpayers should have their say. I propose an amendment to the Virginia Constitution requiring separate votes on all fees and taxes.

In order to attract business and create jobs, we must preserve Virginia’s low-tax environment. I will work to do just that.
